Funeral Songs

Yesterday, I witnessed the art of language, verbally presented by passionate poets and writers. My cousin, Kimberly, was featured to do a reading of her latest publishing, “Funeral Songs,” a book of poems documenting the compounded grief of loss.

I could feel the emotions in Kimberly and the other artists’ readings of their own work, feelings masterfully expressed in words, making way into my soul. Love and loss was a major theme in these written works, which deeply resonated within me, as I held back tears while grieving my own loss of a loved one.

So today, I thank my cousin, Kimberly, and The World Stage in Los Angeles, for giving me an environment to grieve. The presentations were beautiful and appreciated.

I’m so proud and happy for Kimberly, and “Funeral Songs” really has the ability to hit home. Please support her by getting her book!
